KZSC is a noncommercial, educational community radio station based on the University of California Santa Cruz campus. We're the audio equivalent of a fiery fondue pot overflowing with music, local talk and fun from the place known as "Surf City, USA". KZSC is also the exclusive radio home of UCSC Banana Slug sports. Founded in 1955, WEMC is Virginia's first public radio station (now FM) and is a public service of Eastern Mennonite University.
WMRE began as a low-budget idea in 1983, with call letters WEMO. In 1985 students began the laborious task of creating a modern radio station at Emory. After four years of persistent effort, on January 20, 1989, Emoryâ??s student operated radio station, WMRE, the Voice of Emory, began broadcasting.
