Newbornlander is a baby store, oriented for newborns to 2 years of age. Specializing in high quality, hand-made accessories for babies, as well as products & decor for the nursery room.
Newbornlander is co-owned & operated by Constanza Safatle & Kerri Ivany.
Starting as a home business for Safatle in 2017, with Kerri joining in 2018, Newbornlander now operates out of the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation, a craft incubator for entrepreneurs. They also participate in select craft fairs and shows throughout the year.
Products feature quality materials with unique themes and fabrics, with attention to design, detail, and practicality.
Newbornlander has become a distinct brand in the local community and is quickly gaining recognition for its range of unique accessories and innovative products. Newbornlander offer clientele the opportunity to visit their physical location to view products, ask questions, enjoy a talk, shop, and customize-orders. They believe in creating a positive shopping experience, to coincide with this exciting life event.
Being able to customize products gives clientele control of their own design, and flexible options to suit their needs and style. From accessories like hats & bibs, to decorating the nursery room, Newbornlander takes the time and care to complete visions and ensure customer satisfaction.

Newbornlander became interested in the crowdfunding opportunity with Impackhub’s “Pitch to the Puffin” because of it’s pay-it-forward platform. Backers with receeve the following rewards:
$150 – A newborn gift basket including shoes, hat & bib. This basket can be your to keep, give to new and expecting parents, or can be donated on your behalf to a local organization.
$500 – A tipee tent. This is a great product for young kids, or for a nursery room setting. Tent can be yours to keep or can be donated on your behalf to a local organization.
$1000 – A new product line will be named after you. A portion of it’s sales will be donated to the charity of your choice.
Being involved in the community is very important to Newbornlander, and they are happy to contribute a portion of revenue generated from this campaign to local non-for-profit organization, the Refugee & Immigrant Advisory Council (RIAC). RIAC is a key asset in heart the St. John’s community. They offer a range of services & support to help newcomers into the province, as well as promote social enterprises for the all the local community in arts & crafts. RIAC has been an advocate for Newbornlander from day one, and they are aiming to pay it back with the same support.
