If you still don’t know this program, it’s about enjoying experiences in extended guitar territories, such as symphonic rock, krautrock, progressive… Also, with many of their local extensions in countries such as Germany, France, Italy or Spain. And this is the case of today. We will listen to the entire album that a Spanish band called Cai released in 1978 with the name of “Más Allá De Nuestras Mentes Diminutas”. Probably this might not be the most popular album released at the time, but it remained as one of the most joyful, true and creative symphonic rock offer in the scene of the so called “rock andaluz”. Cai is the nickname for Cádiz, city located in southern Spain, where the group came from. One of the members is pianist and keyboard player Chano Domínguez, who years later became a very influential jazz musician. With personal projects but also hired as important session musician for many many recordings. Sadly the singer, Fopi, passed away in February this year. What we are going to listen to today is the 4 tracks included in the original album, and additionally some live tracks of the same songs, recorded at the time the album was released. I hope you enjoy it. It’s really an amazing experience that will not disappoint you!
